Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Juventus and captains the Portugal national team. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest footballers of all time.
Ronaldo began his career as a youth player for Andorinha, where he began to make a name for himself, before signing with Sporting CP in 2001. He then signed with Manchester United in 2003, helping the club to win three Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2008. In 2009, he moved to Real Madrid, where he won four Champions League titles, two La Liga titles and two Copa del Rey titles.
As a member of the Portugal national team, Ronaldo has won the UEFA European Championship in 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2019, and was named the best player in both tournaments. He is the top scorer in the history of the Portugal national team and the only player to have scored in four World Cups.
